Write about a time when you had to rely on your mother (or any other prominent female in your life) during your time of need.

I always rely on my mother, because she and I get along really well. We actually get along so well that we have matching tattoos. One time I had to rely on her specifically though was when my grandmother passed away. I was very young, but it was very hard on me. I still did not understand death and loss, but I knew something was wrong. My mom helped me understand what was happening, while also comforting me, while doing the same for my twin brother, and caring for my grieving father. She is truly a superwoman.  Today in class we read a poem about motherly roles. I think this will help me when I write about female relationships for my essay (if that is the prompt I choose... I am still deciding.)

What life skills have you learned in high school that will help you live independently after high school? Which skills do you think are essential for your success after high school?

One skill that I have learned in high skill that will help me live independently after high school is how to be assertive. I used to be very scared to speak my mind and enact change, but with the help of theater, I have learned how to speak my mind and be true to myself. I actually was presented an award from Georgia Thespians this weekend, for being the top theater maker of the year, and I am so honored. I think this will help me when I grow up because I will be able to make change happen, and I can speak my truth.  Today in class we had a newsELA where we learned about the Bill of Rights. It was super interesting, and I am excited to learn more.

If you had to write a poem about your life RIGHT NOW, what would it be about? Explain your answer in at least 4 to 5 sentences.

If I had to write a poem about my life right now it would be about change. I have a lot of change going on in my life right now, and it is very scary. I know that I am going to go to college, but I am not aware of where I will be, or even what state I will live in 6 months from now. I have a lot of lasts happening, and it is hard to express how this feels. I think a poem would help with this, and help me get my feelings into words.  Today in class we learned about what a thesis statement was, and how to best write them. I am very excited because I leave on Thursday to attend the Georgia Thespian Convention, and I get to perform in front of the biggest audience in Lakeside Theater history.

Describe a time when you had to speak in front of an audience. What were your fears? How did you handle them? What advice would you give to someone struggling with stage fright?

I have the opportunity to speak in front of audiences quite often, and I really enjoy it. I am actually about to perform in front my largest audience to date on Saturday at the Georgia Thespian Convention, when more than 4000 people will see us. My advice for anyone who struggles with stage fright is to breathe and that they got this. I also always tell people to transfer their nervous energy into excited energy. Today in class we learned about informal versus formal language, and how to apply that to the essay we will write in class. It was nice having a day of reviewing information, especially because I had a very long night last night with my brothers injury.

Imagine it's the year 2050. What does the world look like? How have technology, society, and the environment changed?

In the year 2050, I hope that technology is improving the way the world is running. I feel like there will be new ways that people communicate that we cannot even begin to imagine with our current technology. I feel like AI will help many businesses, and it will be commonly used in everyday life, just like the phone is now. I hope that there will be a better environment than there is now, otherwise we are in trouble. I also hope that there is a positive push towards equality for everyone.  Today in class we read more of the Color Purple and answered questions about it. Also, I apologize for this being late. My brother broke his ankle last night, and I had to take him to urgent care. I am thriving on about 2 hours of sleep.
