Based on the two informational passages that you've read thus far this week, write about how you will personally strive to avoid student loan debt?

 I have to be honest, I don't know if it will be possible for me to completely avoid student debt, but my goal is to avoid it through undergrad. I want to be a doctor, so I have to not only pay for college, but then med school after that. I have been fortunate enough to receive many different scholarships, to the point that I can have my undergrad debt free. This is very important to me, because I can save up for med school while I am there to try and avoid too much debt.

Today in class we learned about student debt. I am very worried about college debt, but I have a major and career that it is required for.

Write about what you remember or have been told about the day you were born

The day I was born was very different from most people. My mom woke up and went to work, because she was only 7 months pregnant. Then suddenly, her water broke and she had to be rushed to the hospital from Oak Grove Elementary. Me and my brother are twins, and so we were expected to be born early, but not 2 months. She was rushed into an emergency c-section and me and my brother were born. I was 4 pounds one ounce and he was only 4 pounds. I didn't cry when I was born, and both of us had a wide range of medical needs. We were fully reliant on medial technology to be able to breath, get nutrients, and our hearts would continuously stop beating. This led to a day full of fear and I think it relates more to infant sorrow. We lived in the NICU at choa for a month before going home. It was a very scary day for sure.  Today in class we read and analyzed 2 pairs of opposing poems and wrote a one-pager on them. I chose the contrasting poems infant joy and infant sorrow. What holiday do you look forward to the most each year, and why is it your favorite?

 My favorite holiday is Christmas. I look forward to many aspects of it, and the time around of it. I love the candlelight Christmas Eve service at my church, especially because I have been able to be a part of the service for the past 7 years. In our family, we have Christmas day with about 25 family members, which is a lot of people, but it is fun for a little while. I love the combination of religion and family this holiday encompasses.  Today we took a common assessment for multicultural Lit. I felt very confident on it and I am hopeful it helps me get above an 85.
