Today in class we read, annotated, discussed, and answered questions about the poem I, Too by Langston Hughes. The poem taught us to always cheer for ourselves, and to always fight for what you think is right. I am going to reflect this in my day-to-day life by always believing in me, and not letting negative things people say bother me. I enjoyed the model we did in class with discussion, because I loved hearing everyone's differing views on the same topics. Today I was very tired and I am very excited to eat some pasta, watch tv, then go to sleep early.
Having a more precise and sophisticated vocabulary can impact communication in many ways. First, it can make you seem smarter, which will benefit you in the work force, interviews, and day-to-day life. In addition, it will allow you to better understand what people are saying, and how to work well with others. Lastly, it will increase your confidence and understanding of the world around you. Today in class we worked through vocabulary lesson 14. The word that stood out most to me was pandemic, but this was because of my large amounts of exposure to the word. I am working very hard to get my grade back up to an A, even if it is a lost cause at this point.
