Today in class we learned about and began our story maps. We are learning about and connecting to our past with this project, which in turn, has led to a lot of personal reflection about myself as a whole. I am enjoying this project, but I can imagine it will be much more difficult next week when we cannot use our phones to find pictures and locations. I have had a good day and I am very excited for the game tonight and the long weekend!
Having a more precise and sophisticated vocabulary can impact communication in many ways. First, it can make you seem smarter, which will benefit you in the work force, interviews, and day-to-day life. In addition, it will allow you to better understand what people are saying, and how to work well with others. Lastly, it will increase your confidence and understanding of the world around you. Today in class we worked through vocabulary lesson 14. The word that stood out most to me was pandemic, but this was because of my large amounts of exposure to the word. I am working very hard to get my grade back up to an A, even if it is a lost cause at this point.
