Today in class we started with presenting our characterization posters, then we read act two scene one, then we finished with putting ourselves in the shoes of the characters and answered questions about real life situations. I learned in this process, that I am very similar to Rose, because she stands up for herself in situations where many people wouldn't, but she is also known for her hard working attitude and kind spirit. I enjoyed class today, because in learning more about the characters we are able to better understand the rest of the book. I am very excited for today because I do not have any plans so I am going to binge watch Heartstopper to get ready for season 3.
Having a more precise and sophisticated vocabulary can impact communication in many ways. First, it can make you seem smarter, which will benefit you in the work force, interviews, and day-to-day life. In addition, it will allow you to better understand what people are saying, and how to work well with others. Lastly, it will increase your confidence and understanding of the world around you. Today in class we worked through vocabulary lesson 14. The word that stood out most to me was pandemic, but this was because of my large amounts of exposure to the word. I am working very hard to get my grade back up to an A, even if it is a lost cause at this point.
